Its basically about Anne Boleyn from Anne's point of view. I haven't read a book about Anne from Anne's point a view in a long time. It started out when Anne first went to court and ended with her death. Some historical inaccuracies hit me from the very first chapter. And maybe it moved a bit slow. Other than that, it was a good book.

I've gotten to the point after several years of constantly reading, that I finally feel like I want to write my own book. And I mean high society. Officially this book is for young adults, but I still enjoyed it. It has such a beautiful cover. I wasn't expecting anything spectacular, but I did indeed enjoy it. It was a quick read and I do recomend it. It was also an easy read and would probably appeal to almost anyone. The best way to describe it is like the show "Gossip Girl" but its set in 1899. Still, it was good. I've heard rumour that its book one of a series and if thats true, I'll be sure to read the next one.

<category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='Queen's Daughter. I was very interested in reading this peticular book because it is about Mary Seymour, the daughter of Catherine Parr, the last wife of Henry VIII. History lost track of Mary Seymour. She was also the daughter of Thomas Seymour who was beheaded about eight months after Mary's birth. Mary's mother died six days after Mary's birth. After that, History lost track of Mary. According to most sources, Mary died while still a baby. But not in this book. This book is from her point of view. From the time of her early childhood till she's a teenager. In the court of Elizabeth I. It was a good read. Probably not historically accurate, but a good fiction.

Mademoiselle Boleyn

If you know me at all you will know that I absolutely flove historical fiction. Especially when it revolves around Henry VIII and his court. "Mademoiselle Boleyn", by Robin Maxwell, is about Anne Boleyn as a young girl in the French court in the early sixteenth century. Its completely from her point of view. I've never read a book about Anne from her point of view at such a young age. This book was a wonderful read. I enjoyed all of it. The detail of how Anne felt that the author went into was fabulous. I was just as curious as the character of Anne as to what was going on around her.
